Why use Reader Friend for Scribble Hub

A serial site has no audio of its own, and a general read-aloud tool tends to stop at the end of a page or when the screen goes dark. Reader Friend is built for chapter after chapter listening: it finds the story text, reads it, moves on, and keeps playing in the background on Android.

How to listen to Scribble Hub with Reader Friend

Make it sound right

On a computer

The Chrome extension adds a sidebar player that reads the current tab and moves to the next chapter while you work in other tabs. The steps are the same as on Android.

Good to know

Reader Friend is an independent app and is not affiliated with Scribble Hub. It reads text that is already open in your browser, so follow the site’s terms of use and the author’s wishes.

FAQ

Can I listen to Scribble Hub with the screen off?

Yes, on Android. Playback continues in the background with the screen off, like a music app, and a sleep timer can stop it after the minutes you choose. A browser’s built-in read-aloud usually stops when the screen locks.

Does it go to the next chapter automatically?

Yes, once the Next chapter button is set. Reader Friend taps it when a chapter ends and keeps reading while Repeat is on Default. If the button is not found automatically, hold it for about one second and choose "Add Click".

How do I skip notes or lines I do not want to hear?

You can add a text filter for lines that repeat in many chapters. Whatever the page text contains can be read, so a filter is the way to skip it.

Can it read chapters that are hidden or restricted?

No. It reads the chapter that is open in your browser and does not open anything the site keeps hidden from you.

Does it work on iPhone?

Reader Friend is an Android app plus a Chrome extension for computers. There is no iPhone app at the moment. If you use an iPhone, you can listen with the Chrome extension on a computer instead.
